Final Radiation

30 sessions of radiation Ian has accomplished today. A radiation session would be one a day during the weekday that consisted of Ian having to stay very still while having his entire head clamped down with a mask covering his face. Ian requested his mask to be designed after the green ninja figure named Lloyd. Remaining still by himself for 8 hours while a big machine sends radiation directly to his tumor in his brain. Most children Ian's age have to be sedated through this process but Ian was able to manage all of the sessions without any sedation. Some days were difficult and the daily side affects would be nausea, vomitting and headaches. The radiation also removed a portion of his hair but he doesn't lose all of his hair.
