Why Church Planting?

  • The ultimate purpose in planting churches as in every aspect of the believers life is to glorify God. I Corinthians 10:31 gives us this principle very clearly, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
  • In the present church age, we have been given the great commission by Jesus Christ. This commission, included in all four gospels and the transitioning book of Acts, provides the marching orders of the church with specific detail:

  • We are called to go to all men and in every nation. (Matt. 28:19)
  • In going to the whole world we are to make disciples by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures. (Matt. 28:19)

  • As new believers put their faith in Jesus Christ we are baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19)
  • In order to promote growth in the new believer we are charged with teaching them to observe all that Christ commanded. (Matt. 28:20)

  • We have Christs presence with us always and we have his power through the Holy Spirit to accomplish these things. (Matt. 28:20; Acts 1:8)
